Can I use a flux wire welder to weld floor pans?
I rotten floor pans on my 1966 Mustang and I decided take on the task of restoring my car. I've never had any experience with welding, but with little direction, I can learn. I on a budget and gathered the courage to weld the floor pans myself. Anyway, I found this wire welder 90 amps flows at Harbor Freight Tools for $ 99. I wonder if this particular welder would do the job. I know there are MIG welders that would make a better job, as I understood, but as I mentioned earlier, I'm on a budget. I would really appreciate any feedback.
Yes, it could do the job, but I have made this kind of work several times and I prefer a MiG with argon gas mix. Welding much cleaner and no ugly slpatter few leaves without gas. Anyway or I recommend you practice a lot on other parts of your car before you dive in. Good luck.
