Motorcycle helmets question. DOT, ECE, SNELL etc...?
So I had a very close call on my fireblade the other day. First I said thank god my bike and I was hurt. Next I was thinkin, would my questionable 80 dollar vega altura helmet hold up in an 80 mph accident? I think not.
Soo I did some research and found out there where more helmet standards then DOT, and SNELL.
I found ECE and BSI type A
Would any of these other standards keep my noggin any safer then a SNELL?

I don't think it'll make much difference what helmet your wearing if you wreck at 80mph you'll be pretty much toast. It really depends on the circumstances involved in the wreck.
@thumbs down...why don't you go on out on the highway and run into something at 80mph and see if that SNELL helmet saves your life. Get real would you.
