When and how to teach kittens to use a litter box?
I recently was given 2-3 weeks old kittens to take care of. they are all feeding and formula milk and they start to pee and poo on their own (and saw one of the Having regard to the "proof" of what happens) I have now made a small litter box for them to use, but I'm not sure how can I teach or do they just know? Thank you
Kittens this age are predictable little creatures. They eat, pee, sleep and play. Then eat pee, sleep and play. In exactly that order. This is useful, because you kind of know when you will get a production of fluid. The solids are a little different. I assuming you keep them in a confined space - like a cage or a nice hot bath. If you have given them a pan range, we can say that their legs are too small to dig into it - grains of litter are like rocks. There are kitty litter that is specific for the kittens, and it may well be worth invest in it. It is not cheap, but they are so small that a bag will last very long. And it is strictly for training, so you only need a bag. I do not remember the name of it, but you can call your store supplies premium cat and whether they have.
