I am starting a business and can not decide on a name.?
I started a company to sell new and used jet ski, ATV's, boats, golf carts, trailers, supplies and boating. I live and plan to have my own business at Smith Mountain Lake which is located in Virginia. Any idea's
you can attach to your local company with a name like: Smith Mountain Boat and Leisure Smith Mountain Lake Boating and leisure in this way you create some instant credibility ... and it gives you the opportunity to deliver on the perceived credibility. People are generally quicker to try a company that is linked to a local area or a name they know. ... Or you can go with another name if you have not already ... as Lakeside Boating and recreation. Unless you're a huge undertaking that get a ton of exposure like Apple, Pepsi, etc., it is preferable to give the potential customer, a sort of idea of what you do and what to expect from your company your name. If people do an Internet search for local businesses and get a list ... they are more likely to contact a company you know nothing about depending on what they can first anticipate by what they can gather from the name of the company.
