Can I use vasaline to lubricate the rubber gasket on my garbage disposal?
It's an In-Sink-tor. He has a meeting at the sink flange on which the unit is facing elimination. The fit is tight. I place surrender same brand so I hope not not having to replace the Assembly sink flange, but I am concerned that the couple I need to apply to run the new unit on the Assembly will twist things out of line. But I think if I can lubricate the rubber gasket that do so I can rotate the camera without unaligning the rest of the thing. Will vasaline be okay? Or damaging the joint? Thank you. Oh, and here is a link available that I bought. It does not hurt to use the old hopper. I'm not paying money because people makes me feel good to replace them, if everything happens in the news. But it is quite time to leave the hopper ISE first time and any change to elimination itself. You'll be ok. If not, it only takes five or six minutes and some plumbers putty to set the new one in. and it fetches better.
