Can I break my topper fiberglass to mount the rack?
I carriers from Yakima, but no rails. I want to pierce my Topper fiber glass and mount the rack to the Yakima Topper. Does anyone have any experience in this field. My thought is to drill holes in the top layer, then put a block of wood inside the Topper and drill also. Then I would put the bolts on the rack thought, then the top layer, then the block. What you all think it will destroy the Topper?
Yes, it would work very well, I would add to use stainless steel bolts if you do not rust and it will look and last longer. If you use normal bolts and they are rusty, then your door and you'll topper and rust stains. Cheers
