Platium Exhaust

94 Grand Am GT "bogged down" out?

whats up. i have a 94 Pontiac Grand Am GT V6, with more than 160K miles. It seems to be "bogged down" out to over 4000 rpms 6200rpms. Bogged down with the contribution made something like a popping noise ... with a rich smell from the exhaust. But once you've raced the car for a time Bogging will be about 5200-6200rpms or it does'nt do it. I changed the spark plugs but now found that I'm supposed to use PLATIUM. changed the ignition module, my coil packs are good. I do not know what it was. oh and no code to check the engine ... please help thank you

Check the spark plug wires, coil, if your car has a carburetor, then get him cleaned rings as a starter or dirt in there
