Can you stop a heating pipe cast iron rust?
If you have a heating pipe back iron that is beginning to rust in due to a wet area, you can sand and paint it? Or is there something else you can do to stop rust and protect from moisture?
For the cast, you problably want to use Naval Jelly to remove rust, then use a nuetralizer (tsp or another option, your guy store Paint can contribute to this choice) once the rust is removed, and the acid nuetralized I recommend using a rust resistant to heat prevention paint (Rustoleum Aerosol to form) which should help restore iron pipe with new and contribute to maintaining this way.
