How do I feed my rat a bath?
I tried to give my rat a bath with soap and hot water but not too Hot or none of this but he does not like water, so how do I give him a bath? it gets smelly and its kinda of a thing really necessary. thank you !!!!!!
My Ratties do not like water either but I throw 'em here anyway because they begin to feel bad. If your rat is small, it should not be able to jump out of the tub. Many people tell you to buy shampoo for small animals (for rabbits, pigs, etc. Guinea ~) but I see no harm in using normal but baby shampoo! water down, get a little bit (perhaps the size of a dime in your palm) and run water over it to dilute it a little, then just lather the body of your rat. I'm not going anywhere from nearby heads snacks they eat it or it gets in their eyes, they are perfectly capable of cleaning their own head anyway lol: p If he continues to try enter on your hands, just try your best to lather it on him, I have this problem with one of my rats, she hates bathtime. Remember do not wash too often, but because it takes away the natural oils in their fur.
