Headers or collector?
I have a 1971 Chevrolet Pickup (350). One of my manifold is cracked and I need to know if it would the trouble of replacing them with new heads. I heard it could improve performance and fuel consumption. True? Is good idea? If yes, what are the best brands and prices?
Just remember headers burned much earlier than a collector. If the engine is stock, you will not see any big improvement in her. Another thing heads usually run close to the starter and heated above by making pass more quickly.
