Gearshift stuck in park position?
Hi, I have a 2000 Nissan Maxima with automatic transmission. My problem is that Concerstûck remains stuck in park position. This only happens sometimes, and I must use the lock switch to remove it from the parking position. Otherwise, the gear shift is smooth. Can you pleas let me know why this may happen and how to fix it? What is the cost of repairing these problems? Thank you very much.
Check if your brake lights work, if not, your problem is with the brake light to pass through brake pedal. The lock transmission works off the same switch. The replacement or adjustment of the brake switch is relatively inexpensive.
