Eclipse GSX with 16g turbo and full Bogging exhaust at high revs?
It's a 1990 Eclipse GSX 5 Speed with a turbo and a turbo 16g full back exhaust. When I floor it bogs really bad especially in the 3rd and 4th gear. I think that is because the turbo to make it run lean. Fuel would be higher under the pump to solve the problem? Any Who else has this problem? He still has the stock fuel pump
If you go with any fuel pump 190lph bigger than you will need a regulator adjustable fuel pressure to control pressure. If the car "bogged down" feels like you are struck a brick wall at Wide Open Throttle, you hit fuel cut. You probably have a leak boost or four, and you are probably too stimulating in it to begin. Are you recirculating your BOV? And have you done a leak test boost? You need. The other option is if the car is Bogging simply that you have some sort of knock and the ECU takes time so that it is removing all power. In addition, if you use spark plugs platinum or iridium, which can cause some problems. The good spark plug to use is the BPR6ES NGK or 7ES to stimulate higher levels (18psi +) Correct these problems and get back to us.
