Engine Help Please!?
I own a 1981 Ford LTD. I totally restored it with blue paint, Racing Stripes, Grant steering wheel, dual hood scoop, Crager mags, motor 351W, T5 transmission, dual hood scoops, dash of diamond plate, new interior, etc. It is a great car pleasant turns heads. Well, after spending all that money and taking the car to shows and won several awards, now engine is a mess. The engine knocks and horribly when you start the engine, it forces the oil filter off and spills everywhere. I really do not know what is wrong. Each guard told me I'd better replace the engine. All advice from someone??
First, check if the son were stripped to the oil filter because it is not possible to blow up oil unless there is a major problem. Once set, you may need to make a general revision to inspect the valves ... strike hard could also be a wrist pin let go and is now loose in the housing ... a dump as you said.
