Should I run with a herniated disc?
I have a herniated disc in my lower spine (possiblity that this is a stress fracture, but the herniated disc is most likely) and make me an MRI done next week. My doctor told me that I am not allowed to run / do high-impact thing for some time, except during the last 2-3 races in my season, which she said "would not do much more damage. I can not miss the race Thursday, but that a few weeks is really great, and I am one of the leading riders in the team. My problem? Inflammation of the disc has irritated the nerves down my right leg, making it incredibly weak and seriously injure my race time. I know that my doctor I said I could race, but should I? Is it possible that the leg weakness will be gone in a week? And if I start on Thursday or wait until the what our great race?
