RE: side door of the car bump the other car. Can anyone file a complaint against my wife if rpt no police, no damage visible?
In the parking lot to the service area, the wife opened car door and slightly bumped the other side to it can make out. The other driver called a "smart" side of their car. Neither I nor my wife could not see anything. No police called, info we each only is the name of each other and telephone number. No fault claimed. My concern is that contact me looking for compensation / $ $ To "chip" that did not exist. Should I notify anyone?
I doubt he will bother to call you. If not does, tell him that you remember shortly. Then contact your own insurance, tell your agent what you've said here, get a claim number. Then call back with his name and phone number and claim number. Let insurance cope. They will investigate and if they find no damage, they will not pay. At the same the other person intentionally damage their car, they will look on your car, and when they see no damage corresponding to your car, they do not want to pay. So do not insist on it.
