Do you think this is a good idea? (cold air intake question)?
I had a short Ram intake AEM because I heard input real "cold air" can suck the water on rainy days because I am a 99 Eclipse GS and it will be close to the ground ... Do you think it would be a good idea to get an AEM v2 cold air intake on only put in the heyday ... and days of rain put the intake back to court on? .. ________________________________ Second question: my 99 Eclipse would be the cold air intake really suck water on rainy days? do they something that can prevent this from happening? Would I have noticed a difference BUY THE AEM V2? taking my contribution to short off, and placing on the V2?
You're probably used to have water sucked into your intake, unless your car is ridiculously close to the ground, and there should be something up to stop it. With regard to notice a difference: not too short ram sucks the air right under the hood, but if you are so below you should get some cold air in there, plus a heat shield around the filter airflow should be fairly consistent. It would not be worth switching taken back and forth or buy a new one when you have a decent already.
